Shirodhara (90 minutes)
This traditional treatment provides a truly unique experience every time. The herb infused oils used are specifically selected for their ability to calm the mind and the nervous system, deeply nourishing the Body, Mind and Spirit. Its gentle action works to enhance mental clarity, improve sleep, relieve stress, anxiety and depression and release stored emotions…or just take you to another place.
A brief meditation and gentle face massage using the nourishing Rasasara Skinfoods range ensures that you are fully present to experience 30 minutes of bliss as a fine stream of warm, oil flowsgently onto your 3rd eye. When the flow is completed a brief rest allows you to luxuriate in the moment before a gently energising marma point head massage brings you back to earth. A cup of relaxing herbal tea with Mary completes your experience before venturing back out into the world.
Shirodhara's provide the greatest benefit when received in the earlier part of the day so aim for a morning appointment. It is also important to cover your head afterwards, particularly during cooler, windy and or rainy weather, so please bring something to wear home - a scarf, beanie or hat.
Clearing your schedule for the remainder of the day is also strongly recommended as a Shirodhara has a very profound effect on the mind and the body. After your first one you will understand why Mary suggested not to book anything in for the rest of the day - other than rest that is.
At the completion of your treatment/s you will receive the remaining herb infused oil to take home and use for your self-massage.
