Cari Havican
Cari’s passion for yoga started in the late 1980’s when she personally discovered the centering and balancing effect that yoga had on her life. Her background in naturopathy and remedial massage complement her yoga teaching.
As a qualified Yoga Therapist, Cari is drawn towards the teachings of the Krishnamacharya lineage, particularly the concept of viniyoga (adapting the teachings to suit the uniqueness of the individual or group situation, thereby incorporating many approaches).
Cari has been teaching since 2000 and is the principal teacher of Anam Yoga, a yoga school based in Newcastle NSW. Her greatest passion is working with individuals and small group classes to personalise the practices in a nurturing and supportive environment. She believes that working with yoga in this way will produce optimum healing results for each of her students
